22. September 2022

Slovak Paradise offers many options for great adventure and hiking. In addition to interesting places and prospects that are worth visiting, the greatest attraction is gorges.. It is these gorges that we will talk about in this article that offer adrenaline transitions using ladders, risers and footbridges over the beautiful waterfalls. If you can't decide where to go for your next hiking, we'll try to make this choice easier.

Suchá Belá

We will start with the most visited gorge during the entire tourist season, the Suchá Belá gorge. If someone mentions the Slovak Paradise, people usually think of this gorge among the first thoughts. It is the most easily accessible gorge in the entire national park, as its beginning is located directly in the tourist center of Podlesok. In this tourist center there are several buffets and restaurants that you can visit after returning from Suchá Belá. The gorge is 3.7 km long, you will have to climb approximately 420 m and the crossing should not take more than two hours.

Malý Kyseľ

Malý Kyseľ was once part of the now open Ferrata in Kyseľ, but today it is already a separate gorge considered one of the most characteristic gorges in the Slovak Paradise. Despite the fact that this gorge is one of the shorter gorges in the Slovak Paradise, it offers a number of wooden footbridges, ladders or risers. The gorge is 2.2 km long with a passage of approximately 1 hour and 220 m elevation gain.

Veľký Kyseľ

Veľký Kyseľ is another gorge from the Kyseľ valley, located in the northern part, right next to a small sour. Even this gorge is not lagging behind others and provides tourist experience as well as all gorges of the Slovak Paradise. The passage of three waterfalls created on the rocky stages of the gorge can be overcome using metal and wooden ladders or risers that must not be missing in the gorge. The gorge is a length similar to a Malý Kyseľ - 2.2 km with a passage of approximately 1 hour and 260m elevation gain.
