Winter conditions prevail in the area, with a layer of wet snow up to 25 cm high in the gorges and on the plains. All gorges in the Slovak Paradise are open and accessible, in some places there may be a layer of ice, so we recommend using hiking crampons or walking sticks. The ferrata in the Kysel Gorge is closed seasonally. The bridge over the strait in the Hornád Gorge, located between the Tomášovský View and the Letanovský Mill, is damaged; for safety reasons, access to the bridge is allowed for a maximum of 2 persons at a time. In the Tiesňava valley near Stratená, there was a slope slide, which damaged the entire hiking trail and the securing chains. The Tiesňava valley will therefore be closed for a long time until further notice.
