Tomášovský vyhľad is undoubtedly one of the most visited places in the Slovak Paradise, which you should definitely not miss. From this vantage point, there is a wonderful výhľad of the Biely Potok Valley, the Prielom Hornádu, Čertova Sihoť and, with good visibility, the High Tatras.

Interesting facts

It is a terrace-shaped rock formation located on the southern slope of Ludmanka at an altitude of 680 meters. Ludmanka is a wide ridge on the northern edge of the Slovak Paradise, through which a yellow hiking trail leads. In some places, it reaches a height of around 145 meters above the level of the Hornád River. It is made up of steep limestone blocks that create individual terraces, while the topmost part is the Tomášovský výhľad.

This place is one of the few places in the Slovak Paradise that is also used as training terrain for climbing. The Tomášovský výhľad has several climbing routes that you can climb. They are usually named after the people who discovered and climbed them first. Climbing competitions are often held here.

How to get to the Tomášovský výhľad

The hike to the Tomášovský výhľad is not difficult and can be done even by less skilled tourists. Among the favorites is the route following the yellow sign from Čingov, after which you are up within one hour.

The shortest route leads from the village of Spišské Tomášovce along the green tourist sign, which starts with a slight climb through the meadow and then through the forest to the viewpoint.

The view is also available by bike along the cycle path also leading from Spišské Tomášovce.
